There is a reason for everything like how Carina was a former sacrifice, Rile's power to the kingdom, Lryvi's exile, why Syftisameanpaininthebutt and why Eykan is so short. I'm not planning to reveal too much yet. When all references are up there is a possibility I might clarify a bit more. Remember that. Don't be thinking I was just adding it to a character's flavour without a point :3

STORY
Sacrificia is a story about a girl named Carina who was raised into being a sacrifice for a Clan called Teokye. Every five years, young humans were raised to the Teokye (possibly kidnapped from their own family) as an offering to a Goddess.
However a Teokyean woman nursing Carina took the girl away and went into exile. But due to some horrible weather she was seperated from the girl. Carina wandered the streets, thieving food for survival and slept in small places.
Rile found her sitting against a building, staring into space. It was spur of the moment but the boy took Carina by the hand and led her to a childless family serving under his father.
Ten years later, something triggered in Carina's mind and she began to provide her 'mother's tips' to people. These were monthly tips asking Carina and the people to do things. No one knew where she was getting such tips (especially since she has only an adoptive mother).
Many of them are also absurd and useless ones such as speaking to flowers, leaving ALL fish alone for a month, spending an entire day looking at the sky. However these tips, no matter how odd, spelt prosperity for the kingdom's people.
It was not until Lryvi arrived that things took a turn for the worse. Carina was wanted dead by Teokye Clan. Lryvi, the one who took care and rescued of Carina, explained that Carina's existance was a threat to the Teokye. It might have been related to the failed sacrifice ritual.
Syft, the leader of the Clan, was heard to have began his pursuit and began to damage villages along the way.
Under random circumstances (quite possibly to the fact Carina only knew how to do housework and other things or that the kingdom was at risk), Rile decided to assist Lry and Carina venture to the Other Side of the World.
Something the Clan feared was there.
Furthermore, the 'monthly tips' Carina spoke of are much more importance than they seem. Including a lullaby Lryvi often sung.
The Teokye are mostly rabbit-like people with human bodies except their large hands and feet (and ears). Also all Teokye's names have a y in them! Many *not all, like Lryvi* of the Teokye, mostly the leaders, think badly of humans, thus using them as their sacrifices. There are more than just one Teokye clan, except the small ones branch from the largest one that Syft leads. Their belief is that sacrificing a human means several years of prosperity and blessings from the Goddess. However since Carina's escape, their prosperity has withered (and they're forbidden by law to continue any further rituals until all other arranged sacrifices have been met).



THE WORLD (Images Soon?)
It's your basic commoner vs noble world, but with some nobles helping rather than oppressing them. Normal people often wear plain colours while the royals wear high class clothing.
There is also some technology similar to ours but no cars and vehicles other than robotic carriages, satellites, and there is very limited television (few channels run by the royals). Housings are basic, the apartments only go as high as 3-4 storeys.
There are only a few known countries and it's all clustered on one side of the planet. The other side is unknown but there have been many attempts to cross the dangerous oceans to get there.
Lots of preserved nature and close communities. The friendliness of the people is what's constant about this world however it all breaks up when an angered Clan makes contact with them.
As for Rile, he's a possible prospect for the throne. The ill king's wife suffered many miscarriages and if the 'final pregnancy' ends like the such, Rile is possibly the next contender for king. The boy doesn't care about the outcome as long as he can help the kingdom (even with Carina's tips).
His power is so-called 'training' offered by the king, and since Rile was honest and admirable. It's only temporary however (even though I put it offically in his character sheet).
